Bayhaven's Story

Bayhaven Lobster has been part of York, Maine since 1967. Originally located on Bayhaven Road, the business grew over the years and eventually moved to its current location off Chases Pond Road. Today, Bayhaven serves local coastal restaurants, seafood markets, wholesalers, and retail customers from Portland, Maine down to Boston, Massachusetts. We work closely with local fishermen to provide fresh live lobster and freshly picked lobster meat, keeping the process simple, honest, and focused on quality. Whether you’re a restaurant looking for dependable wholesale supply or a family picking up lobster for dinner, our goal is the same: fresh Maine lobster handled with care from ocean to table. Bayhaven is proud to be a family-run lobster business rooted in the local fishing community.

Our retail pickup hours at the lobster pound are intentionally limited because the majority of our day is dedicated to supplying restaurants and wholesalers. Early each morning, we’re preparing, packing, and delivering orders to ensure our wholesale customers receive the freshest product possible. Later in the day, we’re often continuing deliveries, handling inventory, and preparing for the next day’s catch. By keeping a short retail pickup window, we're able to stay focused on quality, freshness, and reliable service across both sides of the business while still giving our local customers a chance to stop by and pick up directly from the source. We recommend preordering when possible to ensure availability during our pickup hours.
